When the teacher waved her hand, Lele followed the line into the lively zoo. Her shoes went tap-tap on the path. Lele looked up and saw a tall giraffe slowly eating leaves, the green leaves rustling gently.
Lele stood by the railing, watching a big elephant swing its long trunk and splash water everywhere. The cool droplets floated over, and Lele laughed as she took a small step back, surrounded by the giggles of her friends.
Just as she moved forward, a little monkey jumped around in the trees. Sometimes it grabbed the railing, and other times it hung upside down, wagging its tail. Lele looked up and laughed heartily, the leaves above her rustling along, as everyone chased after it to see where it would jump next.
Lele came to a stop by a rock and saw a lion resting. Suddenly, it let out a loud "Roar!" Lele stood up straight in surprise. Even the sound of the wind blowing through the flags seemed to pause for a moment, as the group slowly moved on to the tiger walking back and forth.
Lele gazed at the black stripes on the tiger's body, quietly counting, "One, two, three..." Suddenly, the hippo next to her opened its big mouth wide, as if it were yawning. Lele gasped and then tiptoed over to see the crocodile lying quietly by the water, where everything was still, and no one disturbed them.
On the way home, Lele waved her little hand while walking, pretending to spray water like an elephant, jump like a monkey, and roar like a lion. The wheels went rumbling along, and Lele happily talked about all the animal friends she saw today, with laughter filling the air all around.
