Alfie the curious little monkey swung into his treehouse library. Something golden hovered above a pile of acorns.
A golden letter 'A' bobbed above the acorns. His tail puffed up with delight!
He reached for it, but the 'A' zipped away, leaving a trail of shimmering dust. 'Wait!' he called.
Alfie scrambled after it, launching his grand adventure. Through the blossoms, he spotted something new.
A plump golden 'P' rested inside a drooping plum blossom. He picked it up gently.
But the 'P' rolled away like a marble down a mossy branch. 'Oh no!' cried Alfie.
From a hollow log nearby, a curly-tailed letter 'E' peeked out and wiggled at him.
He stuffed both letters into his leaf pouch and looked up. There was another 'A'—on a high branch!
His tail twitched. He leaped—but the branch swayed, and the 'A' bounced toward a glittering pond.
He splashed after it, but the letter dove underwater and reappeared as a shimmering fish.
Soaked and shivering, he finally cornered it. It popped back into a glowing letter 'A'. He gasped.
The 'A', 'P', and 'E' floated together, spinning faster until they locked into the word 'APE'.
