WHUMP! A giant A poster tumbles from the classroom wall. Andy grabs it and says, “A!”
The poster rustles as Andy carries it across the room. He thinks, “What else begins with A?”
An apple shines on a table. Andy places it beside the A poster and whispers, “Apple!”
Tap, tap, tap! A tiny ant marches across the paper with a crumb. Andy laughs and follows it outside.
Outside, Andy spots an alligator picture beside the alphabet path. He points and says, “A is for alligator!”
WHOOSH! A gust lifts the alligator picture over the fence. Andy races after it.
The picture dips toward a puddle. Andy catches it just in time—SPLASH avoided!
Andy returns to the classroom with the ant,the crumb, and alligator picture. He holds up the uppercase A.
Andy and his classmates glue the A pictures onto a bright collage. The ant crawls across the finished letter.
