Andy rolls Buzz Lightyear’s toy potty into the bathroom. Buzz sits tall upon it, one arm raised in a heroic pose. “To infinity—and beyond!” Andy points at the squeaky plastic seat. “If Buzz can be brave, Andy can try.”
Andy climbs onto the real potty and grips both sides. He waits quietly. The faucet answers instead: plink, plink, plink. Andy hops down and marches toward his bedroom, while the empty bathroom listens behind him.
Back in the bedroom, Andy lifts Buzz from the toy potty and carries him to the bathroom. Buzz stands guard beside the toilet paper. Andy climbs up again, placing his feet carefully and waiting for something to happen.
A towel slips under Andy’s foot. Whoosh! Buzz sails across the bathroom and lands upside down in the laundry basket. Andy rescues him, giggling at the crooked helmet. “One more try,” he says, setting Buzz upright.
Andy climbs onto the potty again. This time, both feet stand firmly on the little step. Buzz watches from beside the toilet paper. Andy waits, eyes forward, while the bathroom clock ticks softly.
Suddenly, the toilet roars—WHOOSH! The sound blasts like a spaceship launch. Andy stays seated, keeps his feet on the step, and finishes all by himself. Then he lifts both arms. “I did it!”
At the sink, Andy scrubs his hands until the soap makes mountains of bubbles. Water splashes, the faucet sings, and a clean towel waits nearby. Andy studies his soapy fingers, then rinses every last bubble away.
Andy carries Buzz into the bedroom. Woody waits on the shelf beside an open storybook. Andy sets Buzz beside him, and the two toys wear their biggest proud smiles. Andy grins back, then climbs onto the potty again without being asked.
