Bella landed beside a flower. Its purple petals drooped low. She touched a crinkled leaf. "Oh no," she whispered.
The garden turned grey. Bella's yellow wings went pale. Her friends fluttered close — their colors faded too.
Bella touched the flower with her wings. Nothing. She patted it gently. Still nothing.
Then she saw them. All three friends gathering round. They had an idea.
They circled the flower. Wings brushed petals. Softly. Together.
A shimmer rose between them. Golden light spilled out. Red, blue, green — streaks broke through the grey.
The flower shook itself upright. Petals unfurled — every rainbow color blazing bright.
Bella smiled. Warm sunlight filled the garden. Everything was bright again.
One by one, the other flowers lifted their heads. Pink, white, gold — they woke up too.
The butterfly friends danced. They swooped and dipped, painting the air with color.
Bella hovered close to the rainbow flower. Its petals glowed like stained glass in the sun.
The garden hummed with life. Bella rested her wings. It was good to be home.
