Benny hopped into the meadow with his big box of crayons. His ears perked at the sight of his cheerful coloring table under the oak tree.
He pulled out three crayons — red, yellow, and blue — and started coloring a big circle on the paper. The paper rustled softly in the warm breeze.
Benny heard a low growl and looked up. The lion companion trotted over with a curious expression. Benny slid the big box of crayons toward him.
The lion picked up a green crayon and began drawing tall grass next to the circle. Bees buzzed happily nearby in the warm meadow.
Ellie the elephant trumpeted from behind a bush and lumbered toward the table. Benny waved her over and handed her a purple crayon.
Ellie curled her trunk around the crayon and carefully colored a beautiful flower beside the grass. The petals looked almost real on the white paper.
The giraffe companion stretched his long neck over the hedge and spotted the colorful picture. His brown spots shimmered in the sunlight.
Benny called up to him, and Gerald carefully lowered his head to reach the table.
Benny handed Gerald an orange crayon, but the giraffe's elbow knocked the box — sending crayons rolling everywhere!
Benny gasped, but Gerald gently picked the crayons up one by one, stacking them neatly.
Benny looked at the picture and his eyes went wide — the colored animals on the paper seemed to glow with a soft magical light.
The glowing picture warmed the meadow as Benny hugged all his friends tight, his ears twitching with pure delight.
