Bigfooty runs across the sunny park chasing a red soccer ball. His huge feet go stomp-stomp-stomp over the green grass.
He trips over his own giant toes and tumbles into a soft pile of clover. OOF! A tiny blue butterfly lands right on his nose, making him giggle.
Bigfooty sits up and looks at his knee. It's a little red, but not too bad. He gives a small shrug and gets back on his feet.
He hops toward home — one big foot, then the other. The blue butterfly flutters behind him like a fuzzy little friend.
Bigfooty pushes open the cozy front door and calls out, 'Mom!' Warm bread smells float from the kitchen.
Mom comes running with a soft pink band-aid. She wraps it gently around his knee while he holds still.
Bigfooty sits on the kitchen step and breathes in the smell of warm bread. 'Thank you, Mom,' he whispers.
Mom pulls him close and gives him a deep hug, rubbing his back in slow circles. The butterfly taps softly against the window, as if it were cheering too.
