In the cozy bedroom, the toddler boy crouched beside a tall tower of colorful blocks.
He paused and looked down at his diaper. It felt heavy and squishy. He held out a blue block, as if offering it.
Mama brought in a bright red potty chair and set it next to the toilet. 'Your new friend,' she said.
The toddler walked over and poked the seat with one finger. It went *boing*. Then he sat down quickly before it could bounce again.
He sat with his yellow truck in hand. The truck rumbled along the floor: vroom, vroom, vroom. He stayed for one song, then two.
When the song ended, he hopped off. Nothing happened. 'Again tomorrow,' Mama said, and the toddler nodded like a boss.
Later, the toddler was reading a book when he stopped mid-page. He dropped the book and ran.
He sat down hard on the red potty and let out a big grunt. The chair wobbled — clack, clack, clack — and then a loud splash echoed through the bathroom.
Boo Boo froze. His eyes went wide as saucers.
He peeked over the edge and saw yellow water swirling below. A slow grin spread across his face.
He jumped up and did a little stomp-dance, arms raised like a champion. Mama rushed in and scooped him up in a big hug.
'You did it, Boo Boo!' she said. The toddler patted the red chair like it was his very best friend.
