Brian walked up to the race track. He hopped into his silver sports car. The engines roared and banners fluttered in the warm sun.
He pressed the gas pedal hard. Vroom! His silver car zoomed forward as tires screeched. Other racers sped past, but Brian kept going.
Suddenly the car sputtered. Brian frowned and hit the dashboard. The engine coughed, then roared back to life. HONK! He stomped the gas again.
Brian leaned forward. The finish line was near. The crowd cheered louder. His silver car surged ahead, passing one racer, then another!
He crossed the finish line first! The crowd erupted. Brian pumped his fist. We did it!
Brian climbed out of the car. Someone handed him a shiny gold trophy. He lifted it high above his head.
A wide grin split his face. The crowd clapped and cheered. The banners waved overhead. Brian did it!
Brian grinned from ear to ear. The crowd clapped. The silver car gleamed beside him. He did it. He really did it.
