Sunlight poured across the playroom floor. Blocko and the friend slapped red, blue, and orange blocks together, racing toward the bright window. Up rose their tower—slap, click, slap! Blocko thought the top might soon touch the sunshine.
Blocko placed a wobbly yellow block on top. Squeeeak! The tower leaned toward the window. Blocko grabbed a blue block and pressed it against the side while the friend reached for another, both watching the trembling stack.
They took the tower apart, one clattering layer at a time. Blocko rebuilt the bottom with wide blue blocks, pressing each edge tightly into place. The stack still tilted and clicked. Blocko pointed to the scattered pieces. “We need a stronger plan.”
Blocko sorted the blocks into neat rows: small, medium, and wide. The friend tested each layer with a gentle tap. Tap. Tap. Tap. The tower answered with a quiet rattle, as if it were thinking carefully about the plan.
A tiny red block shot from the pile. Zip! It bounced off a toy drum. BOOM! Blocko and the friend burst into giggles as the drum rolled beneath the table, wobbling like a runaway wheel.
At last, Blocko and the friend lifted the final green block together. Their arms rose slowly. Then—CRASH! The tower tumbled into a bright heap. Blocks skittered beneath chairs and spun across the rug.
Blocko stood beside the colorful heap, silent as the last block stopped rolling. Then Blocko picked up two sturdy blue pieces. “Together—again.” The friend nodded and cleared a wide space on the rug.
This time, they began broad and low. Blue blocks made a sturdy base. Red and yellow blocks crossed over one another, locking the walls together. Each layer clicked into place, steady as a little fortress beneath the window.
Higher they built. Wider at the bottom, tighter at the top. The friend tested the walls with careful taps while Blocko raised the bright green flag. This tower did not wobble. It stood tall, straight, and ready for the sunshine.
The flag fluttered above the playroom. Blocko and the friend high-fived beneath their towering creation. Sunlight flashed across every colorful block. “We did it!” they shouted, and their laughter bounced from the walls.
