Breakfast was not finished, but Bunny spotted the red ball. “Just one game!” Bunny grabbed it and raced toward the sunny garden.
Boing! The red ball slipped free and bounced through the open door. Bunny gasped and hurried after it.
Bunny chased the ball past the flower bed. It rolled under a leafy bush, where only a tiny red curve could be seen.
Bunny reached into the bush. The leaves tickled Bunny’s nose. “Achoo!” The red ball popped out and rolled toward the garden path.
Bunny kicked the red ball gently. It bumped a stone, hopped over a watering can, and landed in soft grass.
Bunny clapped and tried again. Each bounce grew bigger, higher, and faster across the sunny garden.
Bunny gave the red ball one enormous bounce. Up it flew, sailing over Bunny’s head.
Plop! The red ball landed in a flowerpot. Bunny froze, then reached inside as loose soil sprinkled down.
Bunny pulled out the dusty red ball. Soil sprinkled down like chocolate crumbs, pattering softly on the garden stones.
Bunny carried the dusty ball back to the sunny garden. First came a slow roll, then a careful bounce.
The ball bounced away again. Bunny chased it all the way home, laughing as the garden rang with happy sounds.
At home, Bunny set the red ball beside the door. Tomorrow, the game would begin again.
