Camila stepped onto Noah's Ark. Rain drummed on the wooden roof. She slipped behind a tall barrel and peeked out — but said nothing.
Camila carried a small cup of water past the animals. A monkey grabbed it and wore it like a hat. Camila whispered, "Oh!" as water dripped onto the floor.
A tiny chick darted between the barrels and disappeared under a coil of rope. Camila heard, "Peep! Peep!" She knelt beside the rope as the ship creaked.
Camila followed the chick across the rocking deck. "This way," she said. The chick slipped and landed in a basket. Camila lifted the basket toward the clucking hen — then a wave rolled it away.
Camila grabbed the basket's handle and called, "Peep! Follow Camila!" The chick hopped out and followed her to its mother.
Every creature cheered! They stomped, chirped, and flapped as rain sparkled through the open hatch above.
Camila stepped out from the shadows and sat among the animals.
The chick curled beside Camila's shoe. The monkey returned the cup and plopped it onto its own head again. Camila laughed.
