Colorful lights blink above the carnival gate. Music skips through the evening air as Zigzag races closer. “Come on!”
The ticket booth bell jingled—ding, ding! Zigzag dashed through the gate, with the tuxedo kitten and black cat close behind.
The three friends climbed into spinning teacups. Round and round they whirled, while their ears flapped and nearby cats cheered.
Faster went the teacups. Zigzag pointed to the spinning center and shouted, “Again!”
Next came the little roller coaster. At the first hill, Zigzag’s snack bag popped open, and popcorn flew like snow.
Popcorn tumbled everywhere. The friends reached for pieces, laughing as the coaster raced down the hill.
Beside the merry-go-round, the three friends shared cotton candy. A giant pink puff stuck to Zigzag’s nose.
The carousel music went plink-plonk. The friends giggled so hard that their cotton candy wobbled in their paws.
At last, they climbed into a Ferris-wheel car. Up they rose, above the sparkling carnival.
Zigzag pressed close to the window and pointed below. “There’s the teacups! And the coaster!”
The gondola drifted down. The three friends waved to cheering cats and kittens, then walked home beneath the carnival lights.
Behind them, the rides twinkled and hummed. Ahead, three sets of pawprints crossed the moonlit path.
