A shiny 11 popped from the ticket machine. Ping! It landed on the platform, and Chug-Chug carried it aboard.
Chug-Chug chugged to Blue Station. Number 12 bounced on a springy platform—boing, boing, boing!
Number 12 boinged onto Chug-Chug’s roof. The train giggled with a tiny toot, then tucked 12 beside 11.
At Yellow Station, thirteen bells clattered over a hidden number 13. Chug-Chug rang them one by one: ding, ding, ding!
Ding! The last bell swung aside. Number 13 appeared, and Chug-Chug carried it home with 11 and 12.
Green Station spun and spun. Number 14 was stuck inside its whirling sign.
Chug-Chug reversed, then chugged forward. Bump! The sign popped loose, and 14 flew into a soft pile of tickets.
At Purple Station, number 15 rose from the tracks like a sparkling balloon. Chug-Chug gathered it with the others.
Five bright numbers jingled behind Chug-Chug. Home they went, past every colorful station.
