Coral flips open the blank seashell book. “The most wonderful underwater coloring book!” Coral says, then swishes her tail through sparkling bubbles.
Coral swims toward the dolphin reef. She thinks, “What should I draw first?”
Coral sketches a dolphin leaping through rainbow bubbles. She adds a turtle carrying a tiny garden and seahorses curling around sea grass.
Splish, click, swish! The pages fill with sounds and color. Then a curious fish nibbles one page, and it tears.
Coral gathers the scraps and swims onward. Soon, she draws bright fish scales and a whale spraying a fountain above the page.
Whoosh! The whale’s fountain blows Coral’s pencils everywhere. Plop, plop, plop—they land in a clam, and Coral giggles.
Coral asks the sea animals to help decorate the torn picture. Dolphins paint bubbles, turtles press sandy patterns, and seahorses add curly sea grass.
Fish stamp shiny scales across the page. Then the whale makes one giant blue swoosh.
The page wiggles. The whale’s blue swoosh becomes a dancing wave and splashes ink across the whole book.
Coral spreads the colorful book beneath the coral arches. Every sea animal points to a special mark, and bubbles pop around the pages.
Coral draws one final picture: everyone swimming together. The new coloring book is ready for sharing.
Coral lifts the book, and pages flutter like little waves. Around her, the sea animals swim close, ready to color.
