Daisy paddled through the sunny pond. Orange feet kicked sparkling droplets onto her yellow feathers.

A tiny green frog was stuck under a lily pad. Its legs wiggled but went nowhere. "Hello?" Daisy quacked.

Daisy nudged the frog onto her back. "Hold on tight," she said. The frog gripped her feather with both front legs.

She dipped her wing to test the water. Cool and clear. Snails peered up from the muddy bottom.

At a large stone near the pond's edge, Daisy found a mother frog sitting very still.

The tiny frog jumped from her back. But the mother frog only croaked at a dragonfly and didn't move. The little frog's tail drooped.

Daisy paddled to a cluster of cattails. A whole family of frogs sat on overlapping lily pads. The father frog had a speckled green back.

When Daisy held out her wing, the frog leaped — splashing right into his father's webbed arms. CRROAAAK!

The frog family bowed together, their webbed feet tapping the lily pads in a happy rhythm.

Daisy paddled on. The sun warmed her yellow feathers. She dipped her bill in the clear pond water.

The frogs waved their front legs from their lily pads.

Daisy quacked back and paddled into the golden light.
