The great exam hall doors groaned open. Draco strode in, shirt wide open, buttons long gone.
His mismatched socks tapped against the stone floor. He strutted past the other students, completely unbothered.
The invigilator raised one eyebrow and adjusted her glasses.
Draco waved his wand and shouted the first spell. A puff of smoke erupted—then his loose shirt flapped wildly and swallowed the magic whole.
He tried again. The shirt flapped again. The wand fizzled. Draco groaned.
A tiny green frog hopped out of Draco's open shirt pocket and landed on his nose. It croaked loudly.
The other students giggled. Draco blinked and tried to shoo the frog away without looking.
Draco grabbed his shirt and buttoned it all the way to the top. He raised his wand. A perfect spiral of golden sparkles swirled out and circled the room three times.
The golden sparkles drifted through the hall like floating stars. Draco finally got it right.
Draco walked out with a small smile. He patted his pocket. Behind him, the golden sparkles still drifted like stars.
