Drip bobs on the warm ocean surface as the sun beats down. He feels light and wobbly.
He lifts off the water with a soft *plip*. The salty air smells sharp as he drifts upward.
Drip floats higher, passing a fluffy white cloud that looks like a giant cotton ball. He bumps into it gently.
Turning from clear to puffy gray, Drip joins a distant thunder rumble. The sky grows chilly.
Drip shivers in his watery coat. He huddles close to other droplets, forming a dark, heavy rain cloud overhead.
Wind whistles through their group, pushing them together tightly. Gravity pulls hard, and Drip lets go.
Plummeting toward the green leaves below, he speeds up fast, whooshing past a startled bird’s wing.
The ground rushes up, big and wet and ready. Drip lands with a joyful splash.
Joining a stream that flows back to the sea, cool water bubbles around him.
Swirling in a happy circle, he giggles as the current carries him home to start again.
