A sparkling beetle-shaped light bobbed along the winding garden path. Lumen followed it past glowing flowers and a silver pond.

The light stopped beside a rainbow fountain fading to gray. The fountain gave a tiny cough—plip!—and one dull drop landed on Lumen’s shoe.

Lumen gathered glowing flowers and placed them around the fountain. One by one, their colors blinked out—fwip—and their petals folded.

Lumen tried again, carrying each flower more carefully. Still, every color vanished, and Lumen thought, “There must be another way.”

A trail of silver dew led Lumen to a drooping magical vine. Lumen lifted it toward the fountain, and the vine tickled Lumen’s nose.

“Achoo!” A bright green spark flew from the vine into the empty fountain bowl. Lumen watched it glow beside the dull drop.

Lumen climbed the whimsical tree beside the fountain and caught the last sunbeam with a fallen rainbow leaf. A gust spun it away.

The garden suddenly went quiet. Lumen reached out, grabbed the leaf, and held it over the fountain.

Lumen placed the rainbow leaf in the fountain and poured in the collected dew. Color rushed through the water with a joyful whoosh!

The garden bloomed with color again. Lumen danced beneath the returning rainbow while flowers, paths, and the sparkling pond shone bright.
