Finn stepped into his bright blue backpack and pressed the silver button. The world tilted sideways. With a loud WHOOSH, he shrank to the size of a crumb and slid right through the zipper.
Finn landed with a soft *plop* on a pink ramp. He zoomed down faster and faster, arms spread wide. A chunk of apple bounced off his shoulder and kept going. The ramp hummed beneath him.
He splashed into a bubbly pool where the apple chunk floated by like a boat. The liquid swirled around him — *slosh, slosh, slosh* — and broke the apple into tiny pieces. Finn paddled and laughed as the mixture carried him forward.
Finn paddled through the churning mixture, laughing all the way. The bubbles tickled his ears and the warm liquid pushed him forward.
The passage narrowed into a long, winding tunnel with soft, wavy walls. They gently squeezed Finn along as tiny sparkles of golden light popped up all around him.
The sparkles floated toward his backpack pockets like fireflies. He caught one in his palm, eyes wide with surprise. It felt warm and buzzing.
More golden sparkles danced around Finn as the tunnel curved. He reached out and one landed on his nose, then drifted away.
The tunnel walls pressed closer, squeezing Finn along in a gentle wave. He giggled as the soft walls bounced him forward.
Finn tumbled out of the tunnel and landed softly on his bedroom floor. His backpack was still on his back, exactly where he started.
He looked down at his hands, then at the half-eaten apple on his desk. It looked crunchy and delicious.
Finn grabbed the apple and took a big, crunchy bite. He grinned — that was the best apple he'd ever eaten.
Finn ran to the door, his backpack bouncing. He couldn't wait to jump, run, and learn all over again.
