Julie stood at the front door and waved. "Hello! My name is Julie," she said to her reflection in the glass pane.
The doorknob clicked softly in the quiet house. Julie turned her head. "Hello?"
THUMP-THUMP-THUMP! Three loud raps echoed from outside. Julie jumped back.
Julie marched to the door and called out, "Who is it?"
A muffled giggle came through the wood. Julie tilted her head. She thought: Is someone playing a game?
Julie grabbed the knob and flung the door wide open!
"Hello, Julie! I'm so glad we can play together!" The visitor held up a bright yellow balloon. It bobble-bobble-bobbed straight up against the ceiling.
The visitor bounced the balloon up. "Your turn!"
They chased the balloon down the hallway, bouncing it back and forth, laughing all the way.
POP! The balloon burst with a happy little bang. The two of them laughed and laughed.
