Jimmy pulled open the colorful cupboard. Cookies, cupcakes, and candy tumbled into a wobbly pile on his plate.
Wobble, wobble—plop! A cupcake landed on Jimmy’s slipper. “Silly plate,” he thought, reaching for one more treat.
At the kitchen table, Jimmy tasted everything. Wrappers crinkled around him as he munched, nibbled, and licked.
Rumble, rumble! Jimmy’s tummy spoke up, and his chair gave a tiny jiggle. He paused with a cookie halfway to his mouth.
Jimmy chose crunchy carrot sticks, juicy apple slices, and a glass of water. “These can join the treats,” he thought.
Jimmy marched through the kitchen with his snack plate. Up flew one carrot, spinning—ping!—into the empty mixing bowl.
Outside, Jimmy danced, hopped, and kicked the red ball along the sidewalk. It bumped the fence, rolled back, and booped his tummy.
Jimmy sat on the doorstep with an apple and one small cookie. He stretched both hands high, then stepped into tomorrow with a happy wiggle.
