Josefa bursts into the sunny garden with a picnic blanket. “Family, come play!” she calls.
A puff of wind lifts the blanket over Josefa’s head. She giggles and grabs one corner.
The blanket flies around the flower beds. Josefa’s family races after it, ducking and tugging as everyone laughs.
Whoosh! The blanket flaps past the bench, then drops. The family lands together in a soft, laughing heap.
Josefa spreads the blanket flat again. “Game time!” she announces, and everyone gathers close.
One person rolls the ball. Another claps. Josefa reaches for it, but the ball bounces into a basket with a funny plop.
Plop! Josefa runs after the ball. Under the leafy tree, she finds her family gathered close.
Bees buzz among the flowers. Josefa pauses while family laughter floats beneath the leaves.
Josefa sits in the middle of the blanket. Her family squeezes beside her, sharing fruit and holding hands.
The blanket puffs up once more. Josefa hugs the nearest family member and laughs. “Together!”
