Josué sprinted across the sunny field, kicking left, right, faster. He pretended to be a cheetah.
His feet tangled. Thump! Josué tumbled into the grass, while the ball rolled toward the sidewalk.
“Josué, over here!” called Mateo and Sofia. Josué grabbed the ball and dribbled away from them.
Josué spun past his friends. Ping, ping! The ball bounced off the fence and stopped at his feet.
He kicked hard, but nobody was open. The ball rolled out of bounds, and Josué leaned against the fence.
“You can be fast AND pass,” called Mom from the patio. “That’s how teams win!”
On the tablet, his cheetah avatar ran in circles. Josué thought, “Maybe passing is faster.”
Josué picked up the ball and jogged back. This time, he looked for a teammate.
Josué charged forward, then spotted Mateo open on the right. He sent a perfect pass.
Whoosh! Mateo controlled the ball cleanly. Josué saw Sofia open and passed again.
Sofia kicked. Goal! Everyone jumped and cheered as the net shook.
Ping, ping, pass! The game became a joyful rush of running, sharing, laughter, and clean goals.
Even the FC27 screen showed the cheetah avatar passing to teammates instead of running alone.
Josué and his friends high-fived until their palms stung. His blue jersey wore grass stains and smiles.
