Julieta Oviedo races across the outdoor court and launches the volleyball high. BONK! It smacks the net and drops at her feet.
Julieta Oviedo laughs and scoops up the volleyball. “Again!” she says, racing back to the serving line.
She jumps higher this time. The volleyball sails over the net, bounces once, and rolls toward the riding arena.
Squeak, squeak! Julieta Oviedo dashes after it, chasing the rolling ball toward the arena gate.
Julieta Oviedo catches the volleyball beside the gate. Then she spots a riding helmet wobbling on a fence post.
She taps the helmet. Round and round it spins like a tiny merry-go-round!
Julieta Oviedo carries the volleyball back and serves with a giant swing. The ball clears the net—but a gust lifts it onto a bench.
Julieta Oviedo climbs onto the bench and pokes the volleyball down with the helmet. Plop!
Back on the court, Julieta Oviedo bounces the volleyball once. She sends it neatly across the net.
Thump! The volleyball lands on the other side. Julieta Oviedo raises both arms, then grabs a handball and races toward the next game.
