Leo stood at the edge of the forest. Shimmering lights pulsed between the trees. He took one brave step and whispered, 'I can't wait to see what's inside.'
Glowing footprints appeared with every step. Tiny lights bounced ahead and waited for him. Leo laughed, and the lights zigzagged faster.
Further in, Leo found four smooth stones in a circle. Red, blue, green, and yellow — each one hummed a different color.
Leo touched the red stone. It warmed his fingers and projected a spinning sunbeam onto the moss.
He touched all four stones. They glowed brighter, then burst into a shower of sparkles that rained down around him.
Leo spun in place, catching sparkles on his tongue. They tasted like peppermint and honey. He giggled.
Leo sat on the moss and watched the forest sparkle. His shoes were covered in glittering dust and his hair had tiny leaves tangled in it.
Leo smiled and whispered again, 'I can't wait to see what's inside.'
