The kitchen glows with evening light. Leo sits at the dining table. A plate of carrots sits in front of him.
Leo shoves his plate away. 'No carrots!' he says, crossing his arms and staring at the window.
Mom holds out a carrot. 'Just one tiny bite,' she says, wiggling her fingers like bunny teeth. Leo shakes his head.
Mom makes a silly rabbit face. Leo giggles. The carrot tumbles off the table with a soft thud.
Leo picks up the fallen carrot. He takes a tiny bite—CRUNCH! His eyes go wide. 'It's good!'
He takes another bite, then another, chewing happily. Mom watches and smiles.
Leo pushes his empty plate toward Mom. 'More carrots, please!' he says, holding out his bowl.
Mom fills his bowl. Leo eats them all, then pats his stomach. 'I tried it,' he says proudly.
