Leo tapped his foot. Tap tap tap. His pencil spun. Spin spin spin. But then — he saw something.
A butterfly made of chalk dust floated in the sunbeam. Flutter, flutter. Leo's eyes went wide. An idea! He grabbed a huge sheet of paper.
He drew and drew. Twisting roads. Tall towers. Colors everywhere — red, blue, yellow, green! Snap — his crayon broke. He did not stop.
He ran to the recycling bin. Empty cereal boxes! Goldfish crackers. Cinnamon Toast. Perfect!
Tape everywhere. Boxes stacking up. Bottle caps for wheels. The city was rising!
And on top of the tallest tower — a dragon! Paper wings. Button eyes. He perched there, proud and bright.
Friends gathered around. Wow! How did you make this? Eyes wide with amazement.
The classroom had changed completely. It was no longer a classroom. It was a magical city.
The teacher walked in. She stopped. Her mouth opened. She gasped. Then she smiled.
Leo grinned. His restless mind was finally at rest. 'This is brilliant,' she whispered.
