"This is Roly-Poly!" Leo holds up his popsicle stick dinosaur. It knocks over a bucket of glue sticks with a loud clatter.
He tries to rebuild it, but the head flops sideways. He drags his hand down his face. A bus honks outside. He has to go now.
He adds a curly pipe cleaner tail and a rubber band spring. Click-whirr! The dino spins all by itself. He whispers, "You're ready!"
The gym is full of bubbling volcanoes and spinning planets. Leo steps up and flips the switch.
Roly-Poly's tail whips around. Bonk! It knocks the rival volcano's lid off, spraying red foam everywhere. Leo gasps and claps.
The crowd giggles. The judge wipes foam from her glasses.
Leo marches beside Roly-Poly. Click-clack, step-step! He laughs and stomps along. A gold star lands on his forehead.
But he's already pushing the lever for another spin!
