Leo pushed the heavy library door open. He spotted a thick blue book labeled Moby Dick on the table.
He climbed onto a soft beanbag chair and curled his toes around the cover. Leo let out a long yawn as the room went still.
Leo closed his eyes and sank deeper into the cushion. His breathing slowed until the quiet library faded away completely.
Suddenly, salty spray hit Leo’s face as he tumbled onto a rocking wooden deck. A tiny white whale breached nearby.
Leo grabbed the ship’s wheel, spinning it wildly as the whale dove and resurfaced right beside him. The ocean churned around his sneakers.
The whale leaped high into the air, creating a giant rainbow that arced directly over Leo’s head. He squinted against the bright light.
Leo blinked awake on the beanbag, the blue book now slightly damp at the corners. He wiped his wet nose on his sleeve.
He smiled, clutching the adventure close. Leo traced the wet spot on the cover with his thumb.
