Lightning McQueen found a folded paper map tucked under his windshield wiper.
He unfolded it and spotted a big question-mark drawn in crayon. 'Mater! Look what I found!' he honked.
Lightning McQueen revved his engine with excitement.
He rolled out of Radiator Springs onto the open country road. Wildflowers blurred past in streaks of yellow and purple.
Lightning McQueen reached a field of sunflowers that towered over his hood.
Mater backed up and nudged the pile of sunflower heads aside. Clatter, clatter, the sunflowers rolled away.
They spotted a narrow wooden bridge over a sparkling creek. The planks were loose and wobbly.
Mater climbed onto the bridge, testing each board before rolling across. 'Your turn, Lightning!' he called.
Lightning McQueen took a deep breath and drove across, one wheel at a time.
Below them stretched a whole new town with a shiny race track, a car wash with rainbow bubbles, and an ice cream stand. Lightning McQueen grinned and rolled forward.
