A golden letter fluttered down from the sky. It landed right on Lulu's head.
Lulu peeled it open. The paper hummed like a happy bee. She tied her boots and marched toward the trees.
She stepped into the forest. Glowing flowers lit up around her knees, painting the path in blue and pink.
The path split three ways. Lulu wasn't sure which one led to the key.
A tiny rustling came from behind a fern. A small fox peeked out, ears flat and eyes wide.
'I—I can help,' the fox whispered. Lulu smiled and the fox trotted beside her.
At the heart of the forest, Lulu spotted the key glinting on a high branch. It was just out of reach.
The fox barked once and leaped upward, claws catching the branch. It dropped the golden key straight into Lulu's open palm.
She turned the key in the flower-shaped keyhole hidden in the oldest tree's roots. A soft golden light flooded the clearing.
The fox nuzzled her hand. Lulu held up the gleaming key — she found her bravery, and it fit right in her pocket.
