In the park, between pink flowers and tangled roots, Lulu found something she had never seen before.
She knelt beside the oldest tree and pressed her palm flat against the warm bark. 'Hello?' she whispered. Something clicked behind the door.
Lulu ran back to her friends and grabbed their hands. 'We have to see!' They followed her sneakers crunching on the path.
All three stood in a line before the tiny door. The second friend pushed — the door creaked open just wide enough for them to squeeze through.
They tumbled onto soft moss inside a tunnel lit by glowing blue mushrooms. The second friend reached out — it popped like a tiny bubble. 'Whoa.'
A narrow stream blocked their path. Lulu stepped onto the flat stone first, arms windmilling, then reached back for her friends.
One by one they balanced and hopped across, laughing when the last friend nearly slipped but caught her wrist just in time.
At the end of the tunnel, dozens of tiny doors lined the grass like a garden. Each opened to something different — books, singing flowers, a slide going up. 'We'll come back!' the three called, stepping through together.
