The forest glowed softly under a sky full of stars. Everything was very still.
A tiny star crashed through the trees and fell with a soft thump. Lumeli gasped and ran to it.
Lumeli tried to lift the star, but it would not move. She frowned and whispered, 'You need to go home.'
Lumeli ran to find the tiny squirrel and the small bird. Together, they pushed the star up the hill, but it rolled right back down.
Lumeli stomped her foot. The star's glow flickered sadly. 'We have to try something else,' she said.
Lumeli stopped and looked at her hands. They were glowing. 'I can help you,' she whispered.
Lumeli's light grew brighter, and the star rose up, floating toward the sky. Lumeli reached up and guided it higher.
The star settled back among the other stars. It twinkled bright and warm.
Lumeli smiled and waved. The star twinkled back at her.
Lumeli walked home through the glowing forest. The stars above twinkled, and she felt proud and happy.
