Luna hopped through the pastel meadow at dusk. Something glittered in the clover.
She found a tiny star lying on its side. It pulsed warm gold and pink against her fur.
Luna tucked the star into her chest fur. 'I'll find a way to send you home,' she thought.
She hopped to a grumpy hedgehog. A soft red glow slid onto his quills. He uncurled with a surprised sniff.
Next, she found a sleepy butterfly. An orange shimmer landed on its wings. It zipped up with a happy flutter.
Luna kept hopping. The star grew dimmer with every color she shared, but she never stopped.
At the highest hill, Luna held the star up to the sky. But it was almost dark.
Then — a gasp! The red quills, the orange wings, the yellow flowers all shimmered together.
The colors lifted the star higher and higher until it settled back among the others.
The whole meadow shimmered with rainbow light. Luna curled up on the soft grass and smiled.
