Lunara skipped onto the moon. A moonbeam swooped down and tickled her toes. She giggled.
The moonbeam danced ahead. Lunara followed across the silver dust. Crunch, crunch, crunch!
Lunara hopped into a sparkling crater. Stars glittered below her boots.
Pop, pop, pop! Tiny stars bubbled up and sprinkled Lunara’s boots with silver light. She clapped and chased the moonbeam onward.
The next crater was wide and quiet. Then a puff of moon dust rolled across the path and hid the moonbeam.
Lunara lifted one shiny stone, then another. “Where are you?” she wondered. A bright curve peeked beneath a rock.
The moonbeam slipped free and shone toward Earth. Lunara hurried after it to the crater’s edge.
Earth glowed warm and blue far below. The moonbeam curled around Lunara like a gentle ribbon. “There you are,” she whispered.
Lunara stepped toward the glow. The moonbeam led her home across the quiet moon.
One sparkling stone rested in Lunara’s pocket. Earth’s golden light welcomed her steps.
At the moon’s edge, Lunara waved to the moonbeam. Then she skipped away, wonder in every step.
The moonbeam curled once, twice, then faded into the silver night. Lunara skipped on beneath the stars.
