In the sunny garden, Mia spotted something shining in the dirt. She scooped up the tiny seed.
Mia tucked the seed beneath bright flowers. She patted the soil and began, tap-tap, with her watering can.
Each morning, Mia watered the spot. On the second morning, the soil was dry. SPLASH! Water landed right on her shoe.
Mia checked the garden every day. She pulled away weeds and whispered, “Grow, little seed.”
Clouds drifted by, but nothing appeared. Mia lowered the empty watering can and thought, “Oh.”
After a warm night, Mia returned to the garden. A green stem poked through the soil!
Mia clapped so hard that the watering can wobbled. It tipped over and rolled down the garden path.
Mia gently watered the stem. Then she waited beside it as sunlight spread across the leaves.
Pop! A beautiful flower opened. Mia smiled as colorful petals danced in the warm breeze.
The new flower swayed beneath the bright sky. Mia stayed nearby, watching its petals flutter.
