Mia trotted past the tall grass and into the dappled sunlight of the forest. Her tail held high, she padded forward with ears perked, ready for adventure.
A deer stepped out and offered a handful of clover. Mia took a bite. The leaves were crisp and sweet. 'Want to keep walking?' the deer seemed to say with gentle brown eyes.
Tap! An acorn landed right on Mia's head. The squirrel chattered excitedly from the branches above, pointing at something hidden up high.
Mia tucked the acorn behind her ear and followed the squirrel up the trunk. She trotted after, curiosity leading the way.
Hop! A rabbit froze in their path. Its ears drooped at the sight of a thick tangle of vines blocking the way ahead.
Mia nudged the rabbit's paw with her nose. Together they pulled and pushed. The deer used its antlers to pry. Crack! The vines gave way.
Mia, the deer, the squirrel, and the rabbit walked side by side. Tails and ears bounced in time with their steps. The path opened into a sunlit clearing full of wildflowers.
Mia paced beside her new friends, her tail held high. The winding trail stretched ahead, and she was ready for whatever came next.
