A yellow arrow peeked from under the mint pot. Mia wondered what it meant.
The mint smelled fresh along the path. Mia followed the arrow past pink flowers.
Three pebbles balanced on the fountain rim. Mia tapped them: tick, tick, tick.
Past the splashy water, a blue ribbon fluttered. Mia walked toward the bench.
A paper map showed a wiggly line to the old oak. A squirrel snatched it—zip!
Plop! The map landed on Mia’s head. She laughed at the big X.
At the old oak, the big X waited. Mia lifted the striped picnic blanket.
“Surprise!” called Mia’s neighbors. Sandwiches, strawberries, and a tiny cake filled the blanket.
The basket said, “Share.” Mia passed strawberries around with a grin.
Crunch, munch, giggle. The blue ribbon fluttered above the picnic.
