Milo grabbed the classroom’s rolling paint cart and zoomed down the hall. Whoosh! Papers flew everywhere. He froze beside the squeaky wheels. What would YOU choose?
Milo scooped up the papers. One slipped under the cafeteria door. A lunch helper stopped with a tray to catch it, and Milo whispered, “Oops.”
Milo hurried to fix things and piled the papers on a table. Then the paint cart bumped it. SPLAT! Blue paint splashed across the class poster.
Milo stared at the dripping poster. A bright blue footprint appeared on the floor. Drip. Drip. Drip.
Milo carried the poster and cart carefully back to the classroom. He asked, “Can I help?”
Milo wiped the floor, gathered the papers, and held the poster flat. Blue paint made a silly mustache on the principal’s picture.
The children burst out laughing. Milo laughed too. The blue mustache stayed right where it was.
At cleanup time, Milo walked instead of zooming and checked the path first. The cart rolled safely, and the papers stayed put.
