Milo nudged the big sunflower with his nose. Something sparkled behind the petals. Golden light peeked through!
Milo squeezed through the petals and found a tiny path. His whiskers twitched. A bright butterfly zoomed toward him!
"Hello hello hello!" buzzed the butterfly, zipping around Milo's ears. It landed right on his nose!
Milo followed the path to a sparkling river. A small turtle crossed on a mossy stone. "Need a ride?" she said.
Milo climbed onto the turtle's shell. It was smooth and cool under his paws. The butterfly fluttered alongside.
At the other side, Milo spotted something spiky in the sunny clearing. It was round and very still.
"Hello?" called Milo. The spiky ball didn't move. He took a brave step forward and reached out his paw.
Slowly, the hedgehog uncurled. Two bright shy eyes blinked up at Milo. "Oh! Hello!" whispered the hedgehog.
Milo led his new friends back toward the garden. The butterfly danced ahead, the turtle waddled beside him, and the hedgehog followed close behind.
Inside the burrow, the butterfly zipped around, the turtle settled in a corner, and the hedgehog curled up on a soft leaf. Giggles filled the cozy space.
Milo crawled into his soft bed of dried leaves and moss. His friends were all around him — safe and warm and happy.
Soft breathing filled the burrow. One by one, all his new friends drifted to sleep. Milo dreamed of sunflowers and sparkling rivers.
