Milo’s eyelids drooped low, and he tucked his paws under his chin. But his teddy bear hopped off the bed and wiggled its fingers.
Milo blinked and rubbed his eyes with his clumsy bear paws. The moonbeam on the floor shimmered and turned into a soft, glowing slide.
Milo slid down the luminous trail and landed with a soft poof on a cloud. It smelled like warm milk!
He bounced once, then twice, and the cloud giggled. It shifted shape into a fluffy chair just for him.
A tiny star zipped past Milo’s nose, leaving a trail of glitter that tickled his whiskers.
Milo reached out to catch it, but the star zoomed back and forth like a firefly. He chased it in a silly little dance.
Finally, Milo caught the star gently in his paws. It pulsed with a soft, warm light.
The star tucked itself into the bear’s fur. The moon smiled down, casting a blanket of silver over the sleeping bear.
Milo drifted back up the moonbeam slide, his eyelids heavy again.
He landed softly in his bed and hugged his teddy bear. Breathing in the sweet scent of starlight, he fell fast asleep.
