Mina walked through the forest. Sunlight dripped through the tall trees like liquid gold.
One finger pointed. Something green and still among the brown leaves. "Look!" she whispered.
Lily dropped her stick. Zoe wobbled forward. Five heads huddled together in the dappled light.
The frog's throat pulsed once, twice. Then it opened its mouth and let out a bubble.
A perfect bubble rose up from the frog's mouth and floated toward the sky.
The bubble floated higher. Then — pop. A tiny bell sound filled the quiet forest.
Everyone froze. A leaf drifted down and landed right on Zoe's curly head. She blinked.
Then she giggled. The whole family giggled too. The sound rose up into the trees.
Mina stood up. Her mom took her hand. Her dad lifted Zoe onto his shoulders.
Lily grabbed Mina's other hand. Together they started walking home through the golden forest.
The leaves crunch-creaked under their feet. Golden light painted everything in honey colors.
They walked through the dappled light, five heads close together, heading home through the trees.
