Mina tiptoed into the kitchen. The sink was full of dirty dishes. She rolled up her sleeves.
Mina put her hands on her hips. She smiled at the dripping faucet. Time to wash!
Mina grabbed a plate and squeezed the soap. A mountain of suds erupted into her nose! Achoo!
The plate slid out of her hands and clattered onto the drying rack. Mina blinked at the foam-covered counter.
Next came the heavy pot. Mina scrubbed hard—then tip! Water splashed all over her pajamas.
Mina stood frozen. A drop of water hung from her nose. She sighed and wrung out her sleeve.
A tall glass sat on the top shelf. Mina pulled over the step stool and climbed up.
The glass tilted and rolled toward the edge! Mina lunged—her foot slipped on the wet floor. She caught it!
Mina caught the glass. She held it tight and smiled. She finished the last dish.
The sink was empty and shiny. Footsteps echoed. "You did this?" her mom asked. Mina nodded, and they all laughed.
