Mira stacked colorful blocks as high as her chin. The tower wobbled above the science corner.
CRASH! Blocks tumbled across the floor. Mira pointed at the mess and asked, “Why did it tumble?”
Mira built again. Wide blocks went on the bottom, and tiny blocks went on top.
The tower leaned, sneezed a block into the air, and fell with a clatter. Mira giggled and gathered the pieces.
Mira tested a round block, a square block, and a triangle block. “Maybe shapes can help!”
The round block rolled under a table. The triangle propped up two squares.
Mira made a broad, colorful base. She pressed each block flat in careful rows.
A table tap made the tower shake, shake, shake. Everyone froze, watching it stand.
Mira added one bright block to the top. The tower stayed tall.
Mira clapped. “Ask, build, try again!” Nearby, classmates began testing their own towers.
