Brightville was bright — until the dark fog rolled in. Mirage flew ahead with Thunderbolt and Ironpaw to chase it away.
But the fog would not move. It swallowed the streets. Mirage, Thunderbolt, and Ironpaw could go no further.
From her window, Violet watched. She squeezed her eyes shut and whispered, 'Please let me help.'
Violet stepped outside and made a tiny sun with her magic. It popped like a bubble. The fog laughed and ate it.
She sat down hard. Then she drew a sun in the dust on the ground. It glowed. The fog shivered and stepped aside.
The warm glow grew bigger. The fog pulled back, revealing the street, the path, everything.
Violet turned and waved. 'This way!' She led Mirage, Thunderbolt, and Ironpaw through the parted fog.
The city lights blinked back on. Everyone clapped and cheered. Violet smiled. She had saved Brightville.
Thunderbolt scooped Violet up. 'You did that all by yourself!'
Ironpaw ruffled Violet's hair. 'Next time, you lead us.'
Mirage knelt down to Violet's level. 'We could not have done it without you.'
That night, Violet slept with the window open. The stars were bright over Brightville.
