A fly buzzed near the kitchen window. It danced in a warm sunbeam. Molly watched with her ears perked up.
Molly leaped into the air! The fly zipped away and landed on a big red book. Molly sniffed the cover curiously.
The fly took off again. Molly followed, her paws slapping on the floor. She tucked behind the sofa and waited.
She pounced! The fly zipped away and landed on the cat's bed. Molly slid to a stop. Her tail drooped.
Molly found the fly on the windowsill. She cupped her paws around it gently and held it close.
She felt the tiny wings tremble. 'There you are,' she whispered, and smiled.
Molly opened her paw. The fly lifted into the air and circled the room once. Then it settled on the windowsill.
Molly flopped onto the rug and sighed happily. Her tail thumped a slow happy beat against the floor. The fly rested on the windowsill.
