Pablo swung open Manantiales’ giant gate and rolled in a bright yellow wheelbarrow. Bricks wobbled high above the rim. “Look out!” he called.

Clatter-clatter! The bricks tumbled across the paving stones. Pablo laughed, scooped them into a neat pile, and thought, “Every wall begins somewhere.”

Pablo laid the first bricks in a sunny courtyard. Soon, wide windows opened to the light, and the red door stood ready.

A fountain joined the courtyard. Splish-splash! Pablo checked every corner, then pressed tiny flower tiles into the wall.

Upstairs, Pablo carried a warm wooden bench along the ramp. Then it slipped. “Whoosh!”

Pablo chased the bench past the glowing lamps. He caught it just before the fountain and carried it beneath the biggest window.

Pablo stepped back to admire Manantiales. One bare corner stared back. “You need one more little detail,” he thought.

Pablo found a small blue tile shaped like a hug. He set it in the bare corner, and the tile flashed in the afternoon light.

Every window seemed to wink. Pablo opened Manantiales wide, and sunlight poured across the courtyard.

The fountain sang splish-splash. The bench waited beneath the window, while bright doors, corners, and little details welcomed everyone inside.
