Petalbee swooped over the bright meadow, gathering red, yellow, blue, and purple flowers. The flower basket filled as the breeze rippled the grass.
Petalbee stopped at one empty space. “One flower is missing!” A clear bird song floated from beside the winding stream.
Petalbee followed the singing bird to the stream. Splash! Water leaped over the basket, and flowers bobbed on the rippling surface.
Petalbee shook off the drops. The bird chirped, “Not here!” and flew toward the leafy woods.
Petalbee buzzed through the woods and asked the fox for help. Together, they searched beneath the leaves.
The fox flipped one leaf, then another. A sleepy frog popped out with a loud, “Ribbit!” Petalbee giggled.
The missing flower was not beneath the leaves. Petalbee, the fox, and the bird searched behind stones and beside the stream.
A sudden breeze lifted the flower basket high. Petalbee looked across the meadow, and one quiet corner began to glow.
Petalbee gasped, “There it is!” The fox and bird hurried toward the glowing flower.
Petalbee gathered the colorful flower and carried it home. The fox and bird traveled beside the full basket.
Petalbee placed the missing flower in the basket. The birds sang, and the nearby stream gurgled over smooth stones.
The full basket bobbed as Petalbee buzzed through the bright meadow. The fox and bird followed beneath the singing sky.
