gentle, helpful, cheerful

kindness and gratitude

At the water's edge, green reeds whispered in the breeze. Pip the yellow duck stood still, listening.

A tiny green frog bounced into view. Squeak! Its large eyes blinked curiously at the duck.

The frog darted behind a cluster of reeds and vanished. Pip tilted its head. Where did it go?

Pip waddled forward. 'I'm here,' it called out softly. Footsteps splashed against the shallow mud.

From behind the reeds, two large eyes peered out. The frog spotted the duck and smiled.

Hop! The frog leaped onto a floating leaf. The leaf began to drift… and drift… toward the center of the pond.

Pip jumped onto the leaf. Flap, flap! The leaf wobbled… wobbled… then settled flat.

The frog climbed up and perched right on Pip's head. A tiny green hat! Pip stood very still.

From the reeds, a mother frog and a father frog appeared. They stretched their long legs wide. 'There you are!' they croaked.

The frog leaped from Pip's head. Splat! It landed softly right between its parents. All three frogs turned toward the duck.

The frog family gathered close. Warm green arms wrapped around the duck. 'Thank you for helping our little one,' the mother frog said.

The father frog nudged the duck's wing gently. The pond rippled around them, green reeds swaying in a soft breeze.
